THE HORMONE-HISTAMINE CONNECTION · ON-DEMAND MASTERCLASS
That Rage That Comes From Nowhere? There's a Reason for It.
Headaches, heavy periods, hives, disrupted sleep - they can all be part of the same picture. In this one-hour masterclass, Steph Lowe shows you why they're connected and what's actually driving it.
Watch the MasterclassYou'll Probably Recognise Yourself Here:
- Rage or irritability that feels out of proportion to whatever set it off, and disappears just as fast
- Headaches or migraines that turn up like clockwork, around ovulation or in the days before your period
- Periods that are heavy, painful, or both, and you've been told that's just how yours are
- Hives, flushing or itchy skin that comes and goes without an obvious trigger
- Waking at the same time most nights, wide awake, and finding it hard to drift back off
If a couple of these sound familiar, especially if they cluster around certain points in your cycle, this is for you.
Why They're Connected
Estrogen and histamine rise and fall together across your cycle. As estrogen rises, mast cells throughout your body become more reactive and release more histamine. That histamine then pushes estrogen higher again. It's not a straight line; it's a loop, more like a roundabout than a one-way street, and it keeps circling until something interrupts it.
That's why rage, headaches, heavy bleeding and hives can look like four unrelated problems when they're actually one mechanism, showing up at the same two points in your cycle, month after month. In this one-hour masterclass, Steph shows you how to support your body's histamine clearance, so you're not stuck fighting the same loop every month.
Watch NowWhat's Inside the Masterclass
→ THE ESTROGEN-HISTAMINE LOOP.
How the two move together across your cycle, and why that one mechanism can explain half a dozen symptoms you've been treating as separate issues.
→ SYMPTOM MAPPING.
The two windows in your cycle where this tends to peak, pre-ovulation and mid-luteal, so you can start predicting it instead of just reacting to it.
→ THE SIMPLE SELF TEST.
A way to get a strong first read on how much histamine is part of your picture, before you've ordered a single test, and why relief from it isn't the same as fixing it.
→ YOUR HISTAMINE CLEARANCE PATHWAYS.
What each one actually does, and the everyday, practical ways to help your body clear histamine properly, so a low-histamine diet doesn't have to be a forever thing.
→ ESTROGEN CLEARANCE.
How your liver and your gut determine how much estrogen keeps recirculating and re-triggering the loop in the first place.
→ WHY THIS OFTEN GETS LOUDER IN PERIMENOPAUSE.
What's changing hormonally in this season, and what that means for how you support yourself now.
ABOUT STEPH
Hi, I’m Steph Lowe — nutritionist, mum, and founder of The Natural Nutritionist.
I've been working with women's hormones for over 15 years, and there's a pattern I see constantly in clinic: someone who's already put in the work and just needs the missing piece connected for her.
A client of mine had been working on her heavy periods with me for months. We'd already supported her progesterone, her estrogen clearance and her HPA axis, and she was close, but her blood loss still hadn't come down. Then she went camping, took an antihistamine for a tree allergy, and her next period arrived noticeably lighter.
That wasn't a coincidence. It was the histamine piece of her picture, and once we understood it, her periods normalised for good. I still see her a couple of times a year. Her iron levels have stayed steady ever since, even on a vegetarian diet.
I see this exact pattern show up again and again: rage, headaches, heavy periods and hives, all pointing back to the same loop, waiting to be understood properly.

I've had the best month, even ovulation was amazing! I am so glad! No rage, no headaches, no insomnia... I’m feeling such a huge improvement I could cry.
Understand the Loop, Not Just the Symptoms
You've probably already tried avoiding your triggers and tracking your symptoms. This hour goes further; it shows you the loop underneath the rage, the headaches, the heavy periods and the hives, so the pattern finally makes sense and you know exactly where to start.
